Jesus could have been a historical person...I agree. Jesus could have been a historical person whose life was nothing like that described in the gospels. Regardless of what Jesus actually did during his life, after his death someone had a vision of his resurrection, which caused a reinterpretation of Jesus' life and death theologically. Over time stories were invented about his life to reinforce that interpretation, but at the time Paul was writing these stories were either not known or not yet generally accepted. Jesus could have been anything from a revolutionary zealot to a hermit, and you might still wind up with the gospel stories, as they were driven by the theological imperatives of the post-mortem visions rather than actual memories of the person.VinnyJH57https://www.blogger.com/profile/17954441753543764706noreply@blogger.com
